Join Ellen at Fiber Flurry for a Hands-On Felting Workshop!

Ellen will be teaching a beginner-friendly needle felting class as part of this year’s Fiber Flurry, an annual celebration of fiber arts hosted by the Arts Council for Wyoming County in Perry, NY.

In this two-hour session, Ellen will guide participants through creating an image of landscape suitable for framing using naturally dyed wool as your “paint”. Students will learn the basics of needle felting as we blend colors, layer directly on to a flat surface or create a pre-felted piece to transfer to the canvas.  All materials are provided including a piece of handcrafted felt as “canvas”, natural dyed wool for felting, felting needles, and felting base. Ideas and inspiration will also be provided if needed.
